The patio fire wasnt working but we all still enjoyed the cool night by the beautiful lake in the back of the hotel. There was no water cooler in there, so bring your own water. The gym was nice and clean I always appreciate a gym that has all it machines functional. But the bar had a great choice of craft brews with some being local. The credit doesnt cover alcohol…and SLC has limits on the amount liquor in a drink…so theres that. But then we discovered the starbucks around the corner and it also offered breakfast burritos…so we stayed the full time there. Unfortunately the breakfast is $18…so $15 doesnt cover it all which in my opinion is odd for a hotel to do that….why not cover it all? At first my team was going to go just stay one week because of this and go another hotel that did cover the full breakfast, credit or not. The hotel offers a $15 credit that can be used for food from their restaurants, an on site starbucks, or the mini store. Some of my team had been billed an incorrect rate for their stay, but that got fixed promptly. The few issues that arose had to do with billing. The staff there is not only nice but responsive and took care of solving any problems we had. Not a big issue, still had a pleasant stay. The only drawback was that it was really loud when it turned on…but so was my neighbor which I could easily hear from a door that connected both our rooms. The climate control was responsive and did a good job of maintaining the desired temperature. There was plenty of USB ports and outlets all over the room. The hotel has very nice decor and an indoor swimming pool with a large area to lounge. I stayed there three weeks on a business trip.
